Butler’s City Building needs repaired.
City code enforcement officers inspected the North Street building earlier this month and found several violations. Issues include the deterioration of parts of the roof, stairs walls and foundation…cracked drywall and windows and a broken air conditioner.
Councilmember Mike Walter said the issues would be addressed as money comes available. Councilmember Kathy Kline said some of the repair work can be done by city employees.
The city is required to contact the code enforcement office within 30 days with a plan of action in order to correct the deficiencies, just as any other city home or business owner would have to do.
