Butler City Council continues to move forward with making improvements at a local park.
At their meeting earlier this week, Council members approved a bid from Gargiulo Landscape in the amount of just over $9,000 to plant 16 trees at Ritts Park.
The specific kind of tree has not yet been determined but they will be native species to replace a few dead trees that had to be removed during the course of this ongoing project. The planting and mulching work is expected to take place sometime over the next month.
The money to pay for this improvement comes from the Ritts Park Greenways and Trails grant.
