Butler City Council will not raise taxes as they have approved their final budget for 2022.
The total 2022 balanced budget currently sits at just over $10.5 million with a tax rate of 44 mils.
This budget includes raises for city employees as outlined in collective bargaining agreements as well as raises of 3.5 to 4% for appointed officials.
The budget also includes increases in certain fees such as a $10 increase in shelter rental fees. Monthly parking permit rates will also increase by $5 in the new year due to the increase in price of fuel and materials in order to keep the lots and garages safe.
