Butler City Council heard from another local lending institution as they consider a financial advisor for proceeds from the sale of Butler Area Sewer Authority assets to PA American Water.
Three representatives of Edward Jones spoke to council about what that company would bring to a partnership with the city.
Edward Jones reps emphasized an established company with experienced team members and nationwide resources but also local ties and community engagement. State regulations only allow the city to make certain investments but Edward Jones proposes a per transaction fee of .3% which is likely to be lower than an annual fee.
NexTier and PNC previously made presentations. Still scheduled to present is Baird, formerly known as Hefren-Tillotson. A Council vote to choose a company could be taken next month.
