The City of Butler is one step closer to having new police vehicles ready to be put in service.
City Council has entered into an agreement with Ibis Tek, Incorporated to upfit three Ford Explorer Interceptors for the police department.
The cost to do the upfitting is just over $25,000. The cars are expected to be ready for pickup no later than four months from now.
Last month council approved the purchase of the three vehicles for $84,000 because several current vehicles are falling apart.
