A Butler woman is in custody after she allegedly sprayed a police officer in the face with a syringe.
Butler City Police say the incident happened last night around 11:30 near East Jefferson Street when a patrolling officer found 28-year-old Kristina Labruna slumped over the wheel of her car.
When the officer approached Labruna’s vehicle, she reached out of the window and squirted him in the face with the substance inside the syringe.
The officer was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital and treated for the exposure.
Police found a brown rope in the vehicle that officials say was clearly used as a tourniquet consistent with drug use. Police also found a suboxone strip and several empty stamp bags in the car.
Labruna is facing multiple charges, including felony aggravated assault. She is being held in the Butler County Prison.
