Butler City Police have released more information and the names of the people who died on College Street on Tuesday.
Police have confirmed that three people died Tuesday due to Carbon Monoxide Poisoning and there is no current gas leak or danger.
Thursday police announced 62-year-old Thomas Reges, 48-year-old Wendy Schettig, both of Butler, and 69-year-old Jimmy Anderson of Virginia all passed away.
Tests done at the home when emergency responders arrived found “extremely high levels” of Carbon Monoxide. Two other people were taken to the hospital but are now in stable condition.
A third person at the residence had earlier gone to the hospital for an unknown illness but they were released in good condition.
During the investigation detectives learned CO detectors were disabled, possibly by the residents.
