The City of Butler has reached an agreement with the union that represents city employees on a new contract.
This new collective bargaining deal with Local 757 of the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO will take effect January 1st of 2025 through December 31st of 2027.
This three-year agreement includes a 5% increase in wages next year followed by a 4% increase and a 3% increase. The new deal also increases some employee health care contributions.
This deal has been approved by vote of union membership. The union represents the 16 streets and parks department and city hall employees. Negotiations for this contract began in July.
