The continued financial recovery of the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Butler has allowed for another employee raise.
At their meeting Thursday, the Authority board unanimously approved a rate increase for Gerald Kennedy of Kennedy Lawn Maintenance, Inc from $25 per hour to $35 per hour retroactive to this past April.
Kennedy has not received a raise since he started maintaining properties owned by the authority on a regular basis in 2016. In 2020 he began taking on responsibilities of oversight for inspections which is paid using money from grants obtained by the Authority.
An audit of the Authority’s finances for 2021 included an increase of about $95,000 compared to the Authority’s assets at the end of 2020.
