The City of Butler will be purchasing some equipment for use by streets department employees.
Butler City Council approved a motion to buy a hydraulic spreader in the amount of $4,300.
According to Councilman in charge of the Streets Department Kenny Bonus, the new salt spreader will help reduce the amount of labor necessary to get the work done so it could save the city money in that area. The old salt spreader will be put out for sale.
The city also decided to purchase a garage door and have it installed by General Contractor James L. Abbott for a cost of nearly $3,700.
