The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is working with the City of Butler to replace traffic signal poles along Main Street.
Thursday night Council approved entering into a Reimbursement Agreement to have electrical receptacles mounted onto the poles as part of PennDOT’s Route 8 Signals Project.
The total cost to the city is expected to be about $21,000 in order to have the receptacles available for Christmas light decorations and different events downtown.
This project is expected to take place in the spring of 2022.
