Clarence A. “Bud” Plunkard Jr., 71, of Karns City, died Thursday, April 12, 2018 at his home following an illness.
Clarence was born in Karns City on July 4, 1946. He was the son of the late Clarence A. and Lillian Steele Plunkard.
He attended Karns City Area Schools.
He had been employed at PNM Trucking in Shenango.
Bud enjoyed NASCAR races and the company of his dogs, “Rosie” and “Lucy”.
He is survived by his wife, Ella M. Bortmes Plunkard; three children, Cari Ann Fennell of Chicora, Jamie M. Plunkard and his wife, Lea, of Karns City, and Corey Plunkard of Brady’s Bend; two sisters, Edna Hutchison and her husband, David, of Karns City and J. Darlene Cornman and her husband, Chester “Butch” of East Brady; a special nephew and his wife, David W. Hutchison and his wife, Amy, of Portersville, and a special niece, Lindsay “LuLu” Cookson of Baltimore, MD, with whom Bud was very close, as well as a number of other nieces and nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Private visitation and a funeral service officiated by the Rev. Timothy Lipinski, a Christian minister, will be held at the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City. Memorial contributions in Bud’s memory may be made to The American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org. Interment will be in Hillview Cemetery, Kepples Corners.
