A Clarion man is facing several charges following an incident with police over the weekend in Clarion County.
According to State Police, troopers attempted to pull over 24-year-old Thomas Smith on Greenville Pike in Clarion Township on Saturday just before 2 a.m.
Smith allegedly failed to yield and began speeding through fields and heavily wooded terrain. The pursuit ended when Smith’s 2016 Chevy Silverado became lodged in the mud after jumping several logs.
Smith has been charged with DUI, Reckless Endangerment, and numerous traffic violations.
