A Clarion woman is facing charges after she was found with a gun at the Pittsburgh Airport.
TSA officials say the woman was found with a loaded .38 caliber revolver when she was going through the security checkpoint.
This is the latest incident of a gun at the airport; according to the TSA they have confiscated 31 guns so far this year in Pittsburgh. That’s already five higher than all of last year.
TSA officials say there is “no excuse for bringing a firearm to one of our checkpoints.”
Federal penalties for bringing weapons into the airport can run as high as $15,000 depending on circumstances.
