Cleora “Cleo” Eleanor Black, age 90, of Cabot, formerly of Butler, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Good Samaritan Hospice at Cabot on Thurs., Dec. 29, 2022.
Born in Butler on Jan. 10, 1932, she was a daughter of the late John L. and Cora Bowers Bacher. She was the youngest of six children and the last surviving member.
Cleo married Donald W. Black on Nov. 23, 1951. Together they have one son, Donald “Rick” Black, and one daughter, Sherrie Black.
Cleo was a member of North Butler Presbyterian Church
She and her husband Don owned and operated the Esso/Exxon Station in Bon-Aire for 47 years.
Since March, 2020, Cleo and Don resided at Concordia Personal Care in Cabot.
In addition to her husband, son, and daughter, Cleo is survived by five grandchildren and their spouses, eleven great-grandchildren, three sisters-in-law, and several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Friends will be received in the Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 429 Center Ave., Butler, on Tues., Jan, 3, from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Funeral Services will follow at the funeral home on Tuesday at 6 p.m., with Pastor Chance
Kelosky officiating.
