The rivalry between Pittsburgh and Cleveland extended off the field and into the zoo following a new lawsuit.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is reporting that the suit was filed by the Cleveland Zoo against the Pittsburgh Zoo over the “Asian Lantern Festival.”
Cleveland zoo officials say that they own the trademark to that event, and that Pittsburgh shouldn’t be allowed to use it because it may cause confusion.
The Cleveland zoo is asking the courts to stop the Pittsburgh Zoo from using the event name, and to quit promoting the Asian Lantern Festival.
