Statewide officials are reminding drivers to keep safety a top priority when driving this summer.
The “Click It or Ticket” campaign is currently underway encouraging everyone to wear a seatbelt.
PennDOT and State Police say last year there were over 11,000 crashes that involved people who weren’t wearing a seatbelt, which resulted in 348 deaths.
Police will be adopting a zero-tolerance policy to the Pennsylvania seatbelt law, and will also be conducting car seat fittings and inspections throughout the next couple of weeks.
