An annual celebration is happening today honoring a spirit of collaboration in Butler.
It’s called the Celebration of Collaboration and it’s put on by the Butler Collaborative for Families. The group was started more than 30 years ago in an effort to help share more information about resources available to families in Butler.
Linda Thoma is with the BCF and she says the event offers a chance to recognize groups and individuals working together.
“We’ve had nominations for youth volunteers and adult volunteers. So we’ll be offering those awards to those individuals that have had a great impact in their community,” Thoma said.
They will also be presenting their second Spirit of Collaboration award at the celebration as well. Last year’s winner was Amanda Feltenberger of Butler County’s Human Services department.
The event runs from 2-5 p.m. at the Carousel Shelter at Alameda Park.
