College athletes in Pennsylvania may soon be able to make money off their own likeness.
As part of the budget for this upcoming year includes a provision that would allow college athletes to be paid off their name, image, and likeness.
The athletes would have to hire an outside agent to negotiate the deals.
Now, there are some exceptions. Athletes would not be able to endorse adult entertainment, alcohol, or gambling.
The measure would go into effect once Governor Wolf signs the budget.
