Butler County officials say the new sewer project in Boyers is coming along.
At yesterday’s public meeting, commissioners said that they are very encouraged by the progress being made to build a new sewer plant in Marion Township, which will then be connected to homes in the area.
The project, which is primarily funded using state dollars, will impact nearly 100 homes in the area.
Commissioners say construction is progressing “better than expected” with about 800 feet of sewer lines being installed daily.
Officials anticipate the sewer treatment facility to be completed by the end of this year, and tie-in to homes to happen by the spring of next year.
