A pair of Butler County Commissioners said they had “some issues” with the 2020 election at Wednesday’s public meeting.
Leslie Osche and Kim Geyer offered that comment when asked if they trusted the results of last year’s election; however both tried to provide context to their answers saying that their issues centered around quickly changing decisions from the state that left room for errors.
But their comments drew applause from a group of residents that are calling for a forensic audit of the 2020 election.
Meanwhile, Commissioner Kevin Boozel said that he trusted last year’s election.
All three though said processes have been improved and staffing has been increased where they would trust the results of the upcoming election.
During the public comment session, there were some residents who had fiery speeches on election fraud, and some who levied personal attacks against the county’s election director.
The public meetings have been growing in attendance over the past two months, with most residents continuing to push for a forensic audit.
