Communities across Butler will be celebrating Memorial Day this weekend.
Saturday, Prospect will have a Bicentennial/Memorial Day event on the borough’s Main Street. The event starts at 3 p.m. with the parade starting at 4 p.m. and fireworks at 8:30 p.m.
Sunday, a service will be held in Cranberry Township at North Boundary Park from 1 to 2 p.m.
Monday, Butler County will be hosting their Memorial Day Parade on Main Street in Downtown Butler starting at 10:40 a.m. A ceremony will be held in Diamond Park after the parade.
The Chicora American Legion will host a parade with line up starting at 9 a.m. at the Legion on West Slippery Rock Street.
Saxonburg’s parade will take place on at 10 a.m. on Main Street and end at Roebling Park.
Slippery Rock will see a ceremony begin at 10 a.m. at the Slippery Rock Cemetery.
Finally, Zelienople will host a Memorial Day Service beginning at 10 a.m. at Four Corners Park.
