Residents of northern Butler County will have the opportunity to clean up and reduce clutter at a couple of events this weekend.
First, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, residents of Worth Township are invited to participate in a Community Clean Up Day. No hazardous materials or electronics will be collected but all Butler County residents can participate in a tire collection at the Worth Township stockyard for a nominal fee.
Also on Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Allegheny Township residents can dispose of unwanted materials at a collection at the municipal building in Parker. Nominal fees apply for electronics like televisions and computer monitors as well as household hazardous waste like paint and batteries. Items that will not be accepted include explosives, radioactive material, ammunition, medical waste, syringes, and large appliances.
Pre-registration is required by calling 1-866-815-0016.
