Despite the Fall Festival being canceled this year, organizers of that event are excited for the first of two community days tomorrow.
It will be held at Memorial Park from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The day includes food, entertainment, craft vendors, and a car cruise.
Organizer Don Shearer says that when they knew the Fall Festival wasn’t going to happen, they still wanted to plan an event for the community.
“We started thinking about making smaller events and moving them to the parks in order to make sure we’re still supporting the community and the businesses in the community because that is supposed to be the purpose of the festival,” Shearer said.
Another community day will be held next Saturday at September 18th. Shearer also said he plans for the Fall Festival to return to Main Street next year.
