Many gathered in Saxonburg this weekend to mark the 40th anniversary of Cherrie Mahan’s disappearance.
The event was held Saturday evening at the Saxonburg VFW, where friends and community members gathered with Cherrie’s mother Janice McKinney, who spoke with our news partners at WPXI.
“Nobody understands how much I would love to have my daughter back in my life,” McKinney said.
Mahan disappeared getting off the school bus near her Cornplanter Road home in Cabot on February 22, 1985.
There have been many leads since, but so far there has been no trace of Cherrie.
Anyone with information is asked to call Pennsylvania State Police.
