The U.S. Speaker of the House is creating a congressional task force to look into the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump.
Speaker Mike Johnson says the task force will streamline the investigations into the shooting that happened at the Butler Farm Show Grounds.
Johnson says the bipartisan task force will help eliminate many procedural hurdles, but will have subpoena power.
Johnson also called for the resignation of the head of Secret Service Kimberly Cheatle.
