Local young people are encouraged to learn coding as part of a nationwide contest.
The 2019 Congressional App Challenge was announced last week by U.S. Representative Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson.
This contest is an opportunity for all high school and middle school students of the 15th District to show off innovation, creative thinking, and problem solving skills.
Students can work on their own or as part of a team of up to four students. Participants must register at CongressionalAppChallenge.us by September 15th.
The Congressional App Challenge began in 2014 to encourage students to learn how to code. The deadline to submit an app is November 1st with winners announced in December during Computer Science Education week.
