A Butler area elementary school is receiving national recognition for educational excellence.
According to the Butler Area School District, Connoquenessing Elementary School was recently named a National Blue Ribbon School—one of only 356 in the country to receive the honor.
Superintendent Dr. Brian White gave credit for this accomplishment to “the hard work, dedication, and commitment of the entire Connoquenessing team” as well as calling the honor “a reflection of the outstanding educational experiences provided across our entire district.”
The award is distributed by the U.S. Department of Education to recognize “schools that excel in academic performance or make significant strides in closing achievement gaps”.
