A woman from Connoquenessing accused of defrauding her company for over $1 million in now facing over four years in prison.
58-year-old Constance Stobert pleaded guilty to the wire fraud charges last April. The Department of Justice found that Stobert had stolen at least $1.6 million from Mechanical Operations Company of Pittsburgh between 2014 to 2018.
She would write checks from MOC’s business banking accounts to make personal credit card payments. She also used the company’s credit cards to withdraw cash at casinos in Pittsburgh and Las Vegas.
Stobert was sentenced to 51 months in prison.
