The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will work to enhance travel on a busy Adams Township roadway though a project scheduled to begin in the near future.
PennDOT will start a safety and mobility improvement effort at the intersection of Route 228 and Pittsburgh Street in mid-March.
Crews will be working on construction of new turning lanes, signal improvements, drainage upgrades including instillation of a box culvert, and other miscellaneous work.
The nearly $8 million project is expected to be completed by May of 2020.
