As a new school year is already underway, crews at the Butler Senior High School are working to complete projects as long as the weather cooperates.
The Butler Area School District Board of Directors heard an update Monday night from the district’s construction manager on the Auxiliary Gym project as well as the classroom expansion project.
The Auxiliary Gym addition is nearly done with the exception of flooring but change orders totaling over $22,000 were necessary to add structural studs at the front window of the lobby and a return air duct.
The Board also approved change orders for the classroom expansion including shoring of beams in the locker room and rebuilding of walls as well as additional data, power, and HDMI hookups for an LGI classroom totaling over $211,000.
Crews continue to work with administrators to quickly turn over areas to be used by staff for temporary instruction of students.
