Travel delays are expected Tuesday for northbound traffic on I-79 in Cranberry Township, as construction crews continue work on replacing a bridge over North Boundary Road.
According to PennDOT, starting at 8 p.m. the northbound travel lanes between the Route 528 and Route 228 interchanges will be shifted to new temporary lanes in the median.
Motorists should expect delays during this time since only one lane of travel will be open until 6 a.m. Wednesday at which time a second lane will reopen.
This is phase 2 of a two-year $14.6 million project. The southbound I-79 bridge over North Boundary Road was replaced during the construction season last year.
