As the school year continues for students, faculty, and staff, work on the Butler Senior High School construction projects is ongoing.
The Butler Area School District Board of Directors heard an update Monday night from the district’s construction manager on the Auxiliary Gym project as well as the classroom expansion project.
The flooring of the Auxiliary Gym addition is complete with only an exterior ramp still to finish. Change orders totaling nearly $33,000 were necessary to improve the paving of that ramp as well as connect downspouts to storm drains. The facility could be used next month.
The Board also approved change orders for the classroom expansion including locker room structural work, cages around sprinkler heads, and ductwork in the LGI room totaling nearly $26,000. Crews are now working to get the roof on so that work can continue regardless of weather.
