The contractor tasked with helping the Butler Area School District manage capital projects continues to keep the school board informed on their progress.
In their latest update, representatives from Facilities Management Services discussed several upcoming projects, including catch basin replacement and paving at the High School, Intermediate and administration building, as well as major roof renovations.
All but two of the Butler Intermediate outdoor tennis and basketball courts will be removed, and those remaining will be repaired. Work to implement security measures at the Senior High School and address water leakage at Emily Brittain and Center Avenue is also planned.
Bids are expected to be received within the next several weeks and much of the work is expected to take place during the summer using about $10 million from a bond issue just over a year ago.
