Butler County is directing federal relief dollars to help with sewage and water issues at an industrial park in Allegheny Township.
The county commissioners approved using $500,000 in American Relief Plan funds to go toward the AC Valley Industrial Park near Route 38 and I-80.
It’s a part of an approach to help fund an approximate $5 million project to fix water and sewage problems. The park was recently awarded $977,000 via a state grant to help with the project.
Commissioners say this is a vital repair to make in northern Butler County citing that the industrial park employs around 600 workers who make a total of $30 million annually.
The project could be completed as soon as March 2024.
