A new grant program that benefits small to medium manufacturers in the county has announced its first round of awards.
The Butler County Manufacturing Readiness Grant program set aside $150,000 to support manufacturers that have less than 500 employees in their Butler County facilities.
Companies received up to $15,000, which should cover 80 percent of their advanced manufacturing project’s costs.
County officials say that combined with investments by manufacturers, it will yield $2.6 million in investments.
