According to the Department of Health, there have now been over 800 county residents who have died due to COVID-19.
The latest update from the DOH, says the death toll for Butler County has now reached 802.
The total number of new cases continues to stay fairly steady, with 165 new cases this past week.
Butler Memorial Hospital officials meanwhile say local hospitalizations fell in the last seven days. As of Monday morning, they were treating 13 patients for the coronavirus, with no one in the ICU. That’s down from 18 patients last week.
The hospital did report one death to the DOH last week.
