It was a very wet weekend in Butler County and new numbers from the National Weather Service detail how much rain the area got.
Northern regions of the county saw anywhere from 2 to 4 inches of rain spanning from Friday and Saturday—with areas like Karns City racking up some of the largest totals.
Meanwhile, in the southern portion of the county, it was more in the 1 to 2 inch range.
However, rain totals are just slightly above the average for Butler County so far this year. The National Weather Service says the county has received 24.5 total inches—the average is around 22 inches in mid-July.
