Butler County is joining a study that will look at how to improve EMS services in the western part of county.
The group consists of eight municipalities, two EMS providers, and now Butler County. It’s known as the “Southwestern Butler County EMS Alliance Alternatives Funding Analysis.”
Officials say Cranberry Township has taken a lead on the project, but all eight municipalities have committed dollars to the study.
The study will evaluate and come up with a proposal to help provide more efficient EMS coverage in that portion of Butler County.
Officials also hope that once the study is done, it could be used as a template for other municipalities.
