Butler County is looking at the possibility of building a garage to house their emergency vehicles.
The county has just over 20 vehicles used for emergency responses, including HAZMAT and water rescue equipment. Currently, that equipment is housed in various locations that are rented by the county.
Officials say they have been looking at building a garage for the vehicles for decades, however it has never come to fruition.
County commissioners approved a motion to move ahead with drawing plans so the county could move forward if funding became available.
