Butler County Commissioners have opted to switch which group manages the food bank program.
Commissioners approved ending the relationship with Community Partnership and agreed to a contract with the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
Commissioners believe that this will allow for a more efficient delivery system for those in need. Officials also say that the Pittsburgh Food Bank will work directly with individual food pantries to determine their needs.
Commissioners thanked the Community Partnership for their work over the last two years, and hope to work on other programs with them in the future.
