A new armored vehicle will soon be coming to Butler County.
The purchase was approved by the county commissioners yesterday. It will used for the county’s Emergency Services Unit, which responds to precarious police situations.
“This vehicle is in essence a military vehicle that will allow the Emergency Services Unit to proceed to maybe difficult situations safely and provide them safe harbor in case things get a little dicey,” District Attorney Rich Goldinger said.
The vehicle cost just over $330,000 and was purchased using a money from the American Rescue Plan.
