A large grant recently awarded to Butler County will go towards covering costs connected to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Henry L. Hillman Foundation of Pittsburgh recently announced a commitment of $100,000 towards COVID Response and Recovery efforts within the county.
$60,000 will be designated to a revolving loan fund for small businesses though the Butler Economic Development Corporation. More local businesses will then be able to secure a line of credit through this program.
$30,000 will go towards an employment initiative to assist those in recovery with filling open positions in manufacturing and non-profits. The last $10,000 will be used by the Utility Assistance Fund through the United Way/Butler Emergency Relief Initiative.
