County leaders took time this week to honor workers in the criminal justice system.
County Commissioners proclaimed this as Corrections Employee Week in Butler. Warden Joe Demore commended the work of those in the Butler County Prison and others in the corrections process.
“We use the whole week to honor the employees who do a really tough job. Corrections really takes a special breed of person to do what we do inside these walls,” Demore said.
The prison also just passed a recent inspection, receiving passing grades in all rules and regulation for the 5th straight year.
