Butler County has approved an update to their Subdivision and Land Ordinance.
County officials say the planning commission has taken the last three months to study the county’s ordinance, and recommended making some minor changes.
The new ordinance saw the biggest updates to guidelines regarding wind and solar energy. The update now provides greater clarity for what happens when solar panels fall into disrepair or are decommissioned.
While it received unanimous approval from county commissioners, Kevin Boozel did express concerns hoping it wouldn’t be a burden to possible future development.
