The number of local hospitalizations and COVID cases reported by the state for Butler County continues to increase.
According to the Department of Health, there were 134 new local cases of COVID over the last seven days—which is up 68 more compared to last week.
As of Thursday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital was treating seven patients for the coronavirus, with three in the ICU. That’s the same number of hospitalized patients as last week but one more in the ICU.
Statewide hospitalizations are also growing, with 624 patients receiving now being treated for COVID. That’s an increase of nearly 200 compared to last Friday.
