Construction on a roundabout in Clinton Township won’t be finished until next year.
PennDOT said work on what’s known as the “Route 228 Cox’s Corner Project” is re-configuring the intersection of Route 228 East and Saxonburg Boulevard. Crews will continue paving, line painting and installing signs for the next couple of weeks, but then construction will halt until the spring.
In the spring, crews will connect the new Route 228 alignment with the existing Route 228 roadway. Construction is expected to completely finish in the summer of 2018.
When works stops in the next couple of weeks, Westminster Road- which has been closed since May- will re-open.
PennDOT says this is a $5.5 million project.
