In southern Butler County you don’t have to go too far to find a retail or housing plan butted up against a farm. Cranberry Township officials want to answer some common questions that come along with a “complex” zoning arrangement, and will do so Thursday in a forum titled, “What’s In Your Backyard?”
The forum- free and open to all- will be held in the Cranberry Township Municipal Center on Rochester Road at 6:30 p.m.
The talk will focus on the planning process and how planning serves as the foundation for land use regulation. Cranberry officials say it typically comes down to finding the right balance between property owners’ rights and the interest of the property owner’s neighbors.
Cranberry Township Manager Jerry Andree, Assistant Township Manager Dan Santoro and Planning and Development Services Director Ron Henshew will all be in attendance.
