Those looking to learn more about saving a life are invited to stop by the Cranberry YMCA for a series of classes later today.
The Rose E. Schneider YMCA will host a lifeguard training course for ages 15 and older from 5 to 9 p.m.
The course will continue on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Upon successful completion, participants will be certified in lifeguarding, first aid, and CPR/AED for a professional rescuer.
A pre-swim test will be held on the first night. The cost is $300 or $75 for recertification with a discount available for those who pass and agree to work for the Cranberry YMCA. Visit the YMCA website to register or learn more about these classes.
