Credit cards can now be used to pay real estate taxes in Cranberry Township.
Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors gave permission for the township’s real estate tax collector to use the service GovPayNet at their June meeting.
Taxes can now be paid instantly online, by phone, or in-person at the Tax Collector’s Municipal Center office using any major credit card.
Cranberry residents should be aware that the card holder is responsible for GovPayNet’s 2.5 percent fee on bills paid using this service. However, using the service could still be worth it if a resident needs a payment made quickly to avoid paying an expensive late penalty.
